About The WholeWorks

Managing Director: Rob Ritchie
Main Administrator: Jo Bullough
Assistant Manager: Shian Corley

Since 1992 The Whole Works has firmly established itself at the forefront of complementary health in Scotland.

We have responded to the rising public demand for complementary medicine as well as the increasing respect from GPs and health authorities who have come to recognize the undoubted benefits of the complementary approach in stress related illness, in musculo/skeletal problems, in preventative care as well as in improving quality of life in degenerative and chronic conditions.

We offer a range of effective therapies and our practitioners work to the highest professional standards. At the core of The Whole Works is the 'Information Service'. It exists to clarify for the client new to this field what may be beneficial and helpful. We draw on clinical experience and relevant research where necessary.

In both this service and our practice we are conscious, at all times, of the limits to our areas of competence and, where necessary, will refer clients to other, appropriately trained health professionals. Our clients are also protected from any exaggerated or false claims of a therapy's effectiveness.

The Whole Works will continue to pioneer changes in attitudes to healthcare. Our aim is to inform and educate the public, as well as to liaise ever more closely with practitioners of orthodox medicine in providing an increasingly client based service and centre of excellence for health care in Scotland.

The WholeWorks Trust

The Whole Works' trust was founded in 1998 to support clients, otherwise unable to afford our services, to have access to them.

The trust presently helps to fund low-income clients who could benefit from a short term counselling/psychotherapy approach. It can also support complementary therapy treatment where appropriate.

The trust raises money through donations, sales of Positive Health Magazine and our own Whole Works aromatherapy oils.

Professional Services

The therapists who work here are all insured by and are members of their respective associations ensuring both the public's protection and also that the therapists' skills and knowledge are updated, monitored and re-evaluated.

We have a committee structure for client feedback which ensures our professional care is maintained. Should you feel concerned by anything during your contact with us in the centre please write to the Ethics Committee c/o The Whole Works.
