Fertility Counselling

Fertility counsellors have additional knowledge of reproductive issues, including the sometimes stressful personal and social implications of procedures on clients and their partners; here are some of the issues that couples often face:

• Loss of natural fertility & the stress of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)

• IVF or ICSI (Intra cyclic sperm injection)

• Coming to terms with requiring needing sperm or egg donor treatment

• IUI / Intrauterine insemination

• Fertility issues for same sex couples

• Miscarriage after IVF

• Facing up to failed Treatment

• Termination after IVF

• Collection and cryogenic storage of embryos, sperm or eggs

• Psychosexual stress on the relationship

My name is Rebecca Black and I am accredited as a person-centred counsellor by BACP. My counselling experience comes from working with male and female clients who have struggled with occupational stress, complex career decisions, lack of confidence, low self esteem, bullying at work, emotional abuse, infertility issues, loss & bereavement. I am a also a trained fertility counsellor, accredited by BICA and can offer focused fertility counselling support to couples as requested.
