I have been in practice for over a decade and have experience working with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds. I have worked with a wide spectrum of psychological conditions, including depression, anxiety, identity issues, bereavement and loss, and eating disorders. Our work together will help you explore deeper, often hidden motives behind behaviours or patterns that may be holding you back from living a fulfilling life. I approach this work gently and with a deep focus, encouraging storytelling and meditative reflection to help you connect with yourself and gain insights into aspects of your personality you may not have previously known. By gaining these insights, you will have greater freedom to define how you wish to live, build relationships, and make those changes a reality.
I have published extensively on psychotherapeutic practice, cultural analysis, and psychoanalysis in international specialist journals within the field. We live in complex times, where cultural and political issues can significantly influence how we perceive ourselves and live our lives. I am open to exploring with you how these broader societal issues may impact you and contribute to persistent psychological disturbances. I teach on counselling and psychotherapy programmes at the University of Edinburgh.
Our work together will begin with a 50-minute assessment session. If we decide we are a good fit, we will jointly determine the duration of therapy that best suits your goals.
