Rachel Hyland
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
I am a counsellor/psychotherapist and trained in person-centred and psychodynamic therapy at the University of Edinburgh.
In my practice I take a holistic approach to explore and bring awareness to where you are right now. I strive to create a safe and trusting space for you to be heard, allowing our relationship to evolve in an intuitive and natural way. I will listen and accompany you as you explore and process your experience, understand yourself more fully and how your past experiences and relationships may impact your present. I have experience of working with trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, grief, identity, relationships, low self-esteem, and self-worth.
I believe the counselling relationship is fundamental to the success of our work together. I bring warmth, compassion, empathy and curiosity. The process itself can be challenging, exhausting, enlightening, liberating and so much more. I work creatively at your pace and will support you in an experience which is dynamic, reflective and therapeutic.
I look forward to meeting you and exploring the possibility of working together.
