I offer counselling for adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, trauma, or significant life changes.
My approach to therapy is pluralistic, recognising that different people may need different things from counselling. I work collaboratively with each client to explore what might feel most helpful for them. In practice, this may involve drawing on different therapeutic ideas, including humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-informed and creative approaches, while remaining responsive to each person’s goals, preferences and pace.
I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful and non-judgemental environment where people can speak openly about what is troubling them. Clients often say they value feeling seen and understood as whole people, rather than being reduced to the difficulties they are facing. Therapy can offer time to reflect on experiences, relationships and patterns that may feel confusing or difficult, while also recognising the strengths and resources each person brings. I believe the relationship we build together is central to change and can be just as powerful as any techniques or insights we explore in therapy.
My background in youth work and the third sector has shaped my sensitivity to the wider context of people’s lives, including relationships, culture and social circumstances. I have particular experience supporting young people and young adults and aim to offer an inclusive, affirming space for people of diverse identities and backgrounds.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are available both in-person and online.
