I have been in practice for over a decade, working with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, identity issues, bereavement and loss, and psychosomatic distress such as trauma.
In our work together, we will explore the deeper, often hidden motivations behind behaviours or patterns that may be limiting your ability to live a fulfilling life. I approach this process with care and attentiveness, encouraging storytelling and meditative reflection to help you connect with yourself and uncover aspects of your personality you may not have previously known. Gaining such insights can open the way to greater freedom – freedom to define how you wish to live, to build meaningful relationships, and to make lasting change.
Where appropriate, I may suggest incorporating energy healing techniques into our sessions, drawing on my training in Energy Psychotherapy (EPT). Energy work may involve in-session or at-home practices such as tapping or gently holding acupressure and meridian points, which are believed to help release energetic blockages. This approach supports the body’s natural recovery process and encourages holistic healing.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have published extensively on psychotherapeutic practice, cultural analysis, and psychoanalysis in leading international journals. My research is internationally recognised and deeply informs my therapeutic work, enriching it with a nuanced understanding of the human experience in its cultural and societal context. I am also an accredited trainer on counselling and psychotherapy programmes at the University of Edinburgh. For professional boundary reasons, I do not see clients who are connected with my training programme.
Our work together will begin with a 50-minute assessment session. If we decide we are a good fit, we will jointly determine the duration of therapy that best suits your goals.
