My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship offers a powerful potential for healing. I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space in which we can work together to make sense of what feels hard, uncertain, or even unknown.
I am an integrative therapist, working within both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. This means that I am curious about your earliest experiences and how they might be impacting how you live your life today. Exploring these past experiences can be a powerful way to create change in our present and future. My person-centred training has fostered my belief in the incredible potential that we have for growth and that given the right conditions, we have everything we need within ourselves to thrive.
Within our therapeutic relationship, it is important to me that you feel truly seen, heard, valued, and supported, making it possible to work through what feels troubling and consequently moving towards a more rewarding, authentic way of life. I offer both long-term and short-term counselling, support clients as they face challenges around relationships (romantic, family, friendship), low-self esteem, identity, sexuality, health/illness, work stress and burn-out, immigration, grief and loss, depression, self-harm, trauma, and physical and sexual abuse.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a qualified dietitian, and I have a particular interest in working with issues around difficult relationships with food, diet culture, body image, and body shame.
