Therapeutic Counselling, EFT and Supervision

The purpose of my work is to create a safe space where my clients can journey to greater empowerment through growing awareness, reconnection with themselves, inner development and the learning of useful techniques such as mindfulness and EFT, for dealing with the stresses of modern-day life.

My practice brings together over 20 years of studying and working in the field of psychotherapy. Both my Sophrotherapy training in Belgium (in French) and my Psychosynthesis training in London were about working with the whole person – mind, body and soul – and looking not just at their past and present, but future potential as well.

My experience includes over nine years working as a volunteer counsellor for a low-cost counselling centre in addition to having a successful private practice. My work with adult individuals, couples and adolescents has covered a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, anger management, relationship problems, panic attacks, work-related problems, self-harming, psychosomatic illness, phobias, suicidal thoughts, work/life balance and stress.

In 2008 I was a founding member and partner of Cotswold Talking Therapies, a cooperative of independent counsellors committed to providing a service of professional excellence to clients across the Cotswolds. My experience has led to a deep interest and conviction in energy psychology and becoming an EFTi Accredited Advanced Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner. I am also a mother of four and have been practising Chi Gong and Tai Chi since the last century!

From 2013 to my relocation north in 2015, I also worked as a supervisor of individuals and groups for Cotswold Counselling and Listening Post following a one-year EUROCPS accredited training in Counselling Supervision.

I am a registered member of two official bodies, BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and EFTi (EFT International) and abide by their ethical guidelines.

In the words of Rumi, the Sufi poet: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” I look forward to our meeting.
